This harness is designed specifically for the Toyota Corolla AE86 (1984–1987), compatible with both Levin and Trueno variants. It bridges your car’s stock analog wiring to the digital cluster, giving you a clean, reversible installation that can be undone at any time.

Most AE86 digital dash conversions require cutting into the original harness, sacrificing an analog cluster to get the necessary plugs, and hunting down the digital fuel sender (83320-19725), which is discontinued and sells for hundreds on eBay. Which package do I need?
- With Fuel & Speed Controller: the fuel gauge works with your stock sender, and you can calibrate the speedometer so it shows GPS-accurate speed. Useful after changing tyres, gearbox or diff ratio. Requires one wire to be cut and crimped.
- With Fuel Controller: the fuel gauge works with your stock sender. Speed works as stock.
- Without Controller (already have it): for customers who already own a Fastroad controller.
- Without Controller (have a digital fuel level): you’ve already fitted a digital fuel sender.
Extra Wires: adds a wire to the exhaust temperature warning light, which you can connect to any signal you choose. Grounding the wire turns the light on, so you can use it as a custom warning light, for example for a fault from your aftermarket ECU or an extra sensor.

What you’ll still need
- A JDM AE86 digital cluster
- A digital oil pressure switch: Toyota part 83530-30080 or 83530-14020 (current replacement: 83530-60040). It replaces the analog oil pressure sender, because the digital cluster has a low-pressure warning light instead of an oil pressure gauge.
FAQ
Do I need the digital fuel sender?
No. The included controller makes your original analog fuel sender work with the digital fuel gauge.
Do I need a different oil pressure sensor?
Yes. The digital cluster uses an oil pressure switch instead of the analog sender. Toyota part 83530-30080 or 83530-14020 both work (83530-30080 is now superseded by 83530-60040). It screws into the same place on the engine.
Do I need to cut my wiring?
No. The harness plugs into your original connectors. The only exception is the Fuel & Speed Controller option, which needs one wire cut and crimped.
Can I correct the speedometer reading?
Yes, with the Fuel & Speed Controller. You can calibrate the speed signal so the digital cluster shows GPS-accurate speed, even with non-standard tyres, gearbox or diff.
Can I go back to the analog cluster?
Yes. Unplug the harness and reconnect your analog cluster.
Is there an RHD version?
